Qualification Structure

To achieve this qualification, learners must complete:

• Five (5) mandatory units
• One (1) optional unit

Assessment is based on National Occupational Standards (NOS) to ensure industry relevance. Learners will be evaluated by a qualified assessor and must compile a Portfolio of Evidence demonstrating their competence in all required areas.

Assessment & Learning Hours

• Total Qualification Time (TQT): 470 hours (including independent study and practical work)
• Minimum Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 274 hours (including direct instruction and supervised assessment)

Career Progression & Industry Recognition

Upon completion, learners will have the skills, knowledge, and industry recognition required to progress in shopfitting bench work. Further training and experience can support advancement into supervisory or management positions within the workplace.
