Assessment & Support
- Learners will be assessed against National Occupational Standards (NOS) specific to their trade.
- Assessment is conducted by a qualified and occupationally competent assessor, who will guide learners through the qualification process.
Mandatory Units
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete the following four mandatory units:
- Conforming to General Health, Safety, and Welfare in the Workplace
- Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
- Moving, Handling, and Storing Resources in the Workplace
- Finishing Dry Lining Walls and Ceilings in the Workplace
Qualification Structure & Learning Hours
- Minimum Credit Value: 35
- Total Qualification Time (TQT): 350 hours (including independent study and practical work)
- Minimum Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 184 hours (including direct instruction and supervised assessment)

- This qualification can be taken as part of an apprenticeship framework in England and Wales.
- It is supported by the Finishes & Interiors Sector (FIS), ensuring industry relevance and recognition.
